Work at living in peace with everyone, and work at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.
Hebrews 12:14 NLT
As Christians, one of our major goals is to see God in His glory on the final day. Therefore,we should regard Holiness as a mandate. From the above scripture, holiness should be the primary purpose of our lives.
- Why should I be holy?
Our God is Holy, His name is Holy, and He has commanded us to be holy. If we truly love the Lord, we will obey His commands and we have been commanded to be Holy. Moreover, what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness, and what communion has light with darkness? Our very righteous God who is the light should have no business with any forms of darkness and sin which include unholiness. For proper fellowship with God, we have to be holy. Ultimately, we cannot behold God in His glory if we are unholy and continue to dwell in sin. Jesus Himself said;
On judgment day many will say to me, ‘Lord! Lord! We prophesied in your name and cast out demons in your name and performed many miracles in your name.’ But I will reply, ‘I never knew you. Get away from me, you who break God’s laws.’
Matthew 7:22-23 NLT
God’s law says BE HOLY! Every other thing contrary is breaking God’s law and we won’t be accepted into God’s kingdom on judgement day
- How can I be holy?
In Exodus 3, when God called Moses, in the 5th verse, He said;
“Do not come any closer,” the Lord warned. “Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground.
What I obtained from this verse is that the presence of God brings Holiness. To live holy lives, we need the presence of God. The Word which is God (John 1:1) needs to sink deep into us such that wherever we go we can have His presence with us and truly be holy
ACT TODAY: Let the word of God not depart from you so that you can truly be Holy
PRAY: Heavenly Father, give me the grace to be holy just as you have commanded me and to finally behold you in all your glory on the last day

The Life 
Lovely write up. Knowing fully well that salvation has appeared to all those that confess JESUS as Lord of all, being holy is automatic because the grace is available. For God to tell Abraham to be holy even as he is holy, it simply means that God has instructed us to be holy and it is very possible. Happy new year once again Betty

Glory be to God in the Highest. The Scriptures teaches us that laws of God are not grievous. Once we encounter Him and yields to His will, a total turn around follows as revealed in 2 Cor. 5:17. We move on to be like Him in Holiness, in total obedience through the power of His Spirit. We do not struggle to live holy because we are now dead unto sin and live through faith in the Son of God, Gal 2:20. I n this freedom called salvation , we are set apart from the world and set apart unto Him as vessels unto honour in sanctification and holiness and righteousness through Christ redemption which has been imputed unto us all, 1 Cor. 1:30
We are now living above condemnation , above sin, above death because we are in Christ who infuses His law of the Spirit of life of holiness into us, Romans 8:1-2.
May we continue to walk daily in peace and holiness into we become perfect as He is, Matt 5:48
and Heb 12:14
